Two Days, Two Big Quakes: Dodgers Play Right Through Second Earthquake
[dropcap size=big]A[/dropcap]nother major earthquake in two days hit central California on Friday night at M7.1 on the Richter scale. Heavy shaking was felt across the Los Angeles Basin starting at about 8:16 pm, a day after the Fourth of July desert earthquake at about 10:30 am in the same desert fault.
"Yesterday's quake we are now calling a foreshock," said Cal-Tech scientist Dr. Lucy Jones during an 11pm press conference, as yet another aftershock above M5.0 hit.
Dozens of aftershocks have hit the region for the past several hours. Here was the moment tonight's M7.1 hit live on the 8pm KCAL9 newscast:

At Chavez Ravine, the L.A. Dodgers played right through the Friday night shaking. Apparently the players did not feel the quake, but people in the upper stands sought evacuation.
"I didn't feel it," said pitcher Clayton Kershaw, in the post-game press conference.

Several big aftershocks followed, perceptible in L.A. Social media was flooded with viral clips of backyard pools swishing as though at sea.
