Stunning rigs triumph in 32 show truck categories at Walcott

Updated Jul 23, 2022

The Iowa 80 Truckstop celebrated America’s truckers last week with an estimated 45,053 drivers, families and local residents in attendance during the 43rd Walcott Truckers Jamboree

Visitors came from 27 different states and two Canadian provinces to display their trucks. Drivers from Arizona, California, Texas and Canada traveled the farthest to attend.

“The Walcott Truckers Jamboree celebrates professional drivers and the important work they do,” said Heather DeBaillie, Iowa 80 marketing vice president.  “We thoroughly enjoy hosting this event each year and love seeing everyone come together, make new friends and join in the fun.  The trucking community is amazing. From truckers to our vendor and sponsor partners to our staff who help execute this event, we are grateful for everyone who makes this big parking lot party possible.”

During the three days, guests enjoyed more than 150 exhibits, a Super Truck Beauty Contest with 92 registered contestants, an antique truck display with more than 100 vehicles, an Iowa pork chop cookout, Trucker Olympics, a pet contest and free concerts. Concerts were courtesy of Mobil Delvac, Freightliner Trucks and CAT Scale. Both Thursday night and Friday night included fireworks displays, a truck light show and more.

Iowa 80 Trucking Museum also celebrated the 100th birthday of its 1922 Walter Snow-Fighter.

Next year’s Walcott Truckers Jamboree will be held July 13-15.
